This Venezuelan´s career in music begins in New York City in 1996, spending six years in this city developing his skills and knowledge in and around electronic music. Just in a few months after starting to spin, this dj found himself having his first residency at The Basement (The Tunnel) in NYC. Not long after that he is offered residency at Limelight, where together with photographer Jacob Mikkelsen where completely in charge of the VIP room, offering innovative music and visuals to New York City´s jet set.

In 1998 he travels to Miami for his first appearance at the Winter Music Conference. In 2001 he returns to Venezuela, where he finds himself surrounded by a scene dominated by techno and hardcore techno, anyways he imposes his style (tech house, deep house) into the local scene having a real impressing acceptance from the locals.

He participated in the first Caracas Dj Open by Lucky Strike, where he mesmerized the audience with his performance, placing him in the top 5 dj´s in this event.

During this period he had a residency at The Flower, which was at the time the most important venue in the electronic music scene in Venezuela, and Joe kept the audience dancing every Friday night till after hours.

Around this time he had residency in J&B parties, this events where fully sponsored by this brand and had events in Caracas and Margarita Island.

In 2002 he begins his own independent club and party scene, called Climax, and all of them produced in between Caracas and Margarita Island. He also had residencies at Elmo Bar, Living Room Lounge and Suka Bar during this period.

To the date Joe Barajas shares his talent with Galaktika Records Crew, he resides in Venezuela and specializes in styles like Tech House, Minimal and Electro. He is constantly booked at most important venues, and is constant in his never ending search for the perfect set.
